What is Meningitis ACWY Vaccine

This  Meningitis ACWY Vaccine  protects you against the  meningitis  bacteria types A, C, W135 and Y, which are bacteria that cause meningitis (inflamation surrounding the brain).

This strain of bacteria is commonly passed from person to person and can cause outbreaks where there are a lot of people in one place.

A single dose of the vaccination is up to 90 % effective and lasts for at least 5 years.

The Meningitis ACWY Vaccine is a necessity and a strict requirement of the Saudi Arabia government if you are due to travel to the Hajj.

A letter will need to be given with the Vaccination as proof of Immunisation.
